Introduction

INDIAN CLASSICAL ARTS & CULTURAL TRUST (ICACT) Regd. had celebrated its 25 Silver Jubliee in year 2015 - 2016.

ICACT has performed in many domestic, national and international programmes.

Mary Paul's contribution as a dedicated guru, organiser is a vital link in projecting a better perspective of indian Cultural Traditional and Divine Art Bhartnatyam for North India ICACT (regd).

She has presented her dance on many occassions in stages, temples and churches,.In 1983 she took part in 5th Ulaga Tamil Maanadu (5h World Tamil Conference ) at Madhurai, organised by Honourable Dr.M.G.Ramachandran, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. This has been one of the most memorable performances.

In 1987 Guru Mary Paul migrated to Mumbai and started working as a teacher in Classical Dance Academy. In Mumbai she completed her advance course under the guidance of eminent gurus like late Kalaimamani Kathirvelu Pillai and late Ramaswamy Bhagawathar.

She hails from a Christian family in Coimbatore, district of Tamil Nadu, she is a born dancer and started learning Bharatnatyam at an early age of six years, under the able guidance of Guru late Shri. Gopalkrishnan . she completede her graduation in 1981 Natya Visharatha from Tamil Nadu , Govt. Music College, Madurai completing graduation she started working as a Bharatnatyam teacher in Kalai Kaveri Music School, Trichy.

With the help and support of her husband Shri. Mac Mohan Paul she established Indian Classical Arts & Cutural Trust (ICACT) which got registerd in 1997.

ICACT has got 25 centers in all over Navi Mumbai.

In 25 years of her teaching she has taught this dance form to more than 9000 students.

ICACT has conducted 35 Arangetrams & 25 Annual Days till date in Navi Mumbai.

Approximately more than 700 students have been completed their Arangetrams.
